To carry out gardening tasks according to personal level of gardening experience, while supervising volunteers, assisting them and giving guidance, and making sure health and safety measures are adhered to.
To carry out gardening tasks according to a personal level of gardening experience, while supervising volunteers, assisting them and giving guidance, and making sure health and safety measures are adhered to. Duties: • Gardening tasks such as watering, weeding, and planting • Welcome volunteers, clients, and other visitors to the garden • Make sure social distancing and sanitising are adhered to • Show visitors where fire exits, sanitising stations and fire exits are • Hand out tools to volunteers, and assist and advise when necessary • Note work carried out, and jobs that need doing, in the garden book • Keep the shed tidy • Administer basic first aid in the event of accidents

• Gardening experience • A warm, welcoming manner • Ability to carry out tasks such as digging and lifting • Being comfortable reminding people to adhere to health and safety rules • Willingness to complete Safeguarding and basic First Aid courses
Our garden was created by the ITV 'Love Your Garden' team, with a view to being a resource for the local community - our older people, Memory Tree Cafe, local people who wish to volunteer, and children taking part in inter-generational gardening projects.
