Carer Support Assistant Volunteer

Greenwich Carers Centre

Within this role you would be supporting our Hub Team, who provide one-to-one practical and emotional support and advice to carers and help to improve the lives of both carers and those they care for.

Detailed Description

This volunteering role helps to make positive life changes to the lives of carers through completing simple applications with and on behalf or carers to support them to increase their mobility and get them out and about in the community and reduce their isolation and their expenditure. Within this role you would be supporting our Hub Team, who provide one-to-one practical and emotional support and advice to carers and help to improve the lives of both carers and those they care for. Key Responsibilities Assisting with written and online applications for: Blue Badges (Online) Oyster 60+ photocards (Online) Dial-a-Ride Freedom Passes Taxicard Council tax reduction/exemption forms Attending team meetings and supervision when needed

Whilst the majority his role will take place at Greenwich Carers Centre (76 Hornfair Road, Charlton, SE7 7BD), there may be the occasional need for a home visit to a carer.
