As a Community Mentor, you'll support people with learning disabilities to improve their health, wellbeing, and independence through simple, everyday activities. What you'll do: Support different individuals over a ten-month period (approx. 6–8 referrals). Work with one person for six weeks, meeting weekly, then move on to support another. Co-develop a personalised activity plan—this might include shopping, having coffee, joining local community events, taking part in activities organised by Advocacy in Greenwich, or simply going for a walk around the Greenwich area. Encourage fun and healthy activities like yoga, mindfulness, and social engagement. Collaborate with Advocacy in Greenwich (AiG) staff and community partners.
