Hospital Guide

The Hospital Guide provides a supporting and friendly welcome to patients and visitors in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lewisham Hospital sites, assisting with directions and escorting patients to and from destinations. They will be required to learn about their chosen hospital site in terms of giving directions and wayfinding. It would suit somebody who is outgoing and enjoys interacting with people.
• To provide a welcoming and reassuring service to people coming to the hospital sites and to support reception areas of the hospitals • Offering directions and navigation to people visiting the hospitals • Escorting and accompanying patients • Signposting patients and visitors to departments and staff, which could involve using devices such as iPad, tablets etc

Queen Elizabeth Hospital By bus A number of buses stop outside or close to the hospital, including: 161, 178, 244, 291, 386, 469, 486. By train Charlton, Woolwich Dockyard, and Woolwich Arsenal are only a short bus ride away from the hospital. By car There are pay and display car parks at the hospital. If you have a sat nav, you can enter the postcode SE18 4QH. By bike There are a number of cycle racks at the hospital. You can view local cycle routes on the Greenwich Council website. University Hospital Lewisham By bus A number of buses stop outside or close to the hospital, including: 47, 54, 75 (24 hour service), 122, 136, 185, 199, 208, 284, 484, P4, N36 and N47. By train Ladywell Station is a 5-10 minute walk from the hospital. Lewisham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations are all approximately 1 mile from the hospital. By car There is limited parking at the hospital, and you should allow plenty of time to find a parking space. If you have a sat nav, you can enter the postcode SE13 6LH.
