Mitcham Library - 3D Printing Volunteer

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to lead monthly 3D printing sessions at Mitcham Library. Whether you’re a hobbyist or have more advanced experience, if you enjoy helping others and making technology accessible, we’d love to hear from you.

Detailed Description

You’ll host a 2-hour session once a month on a Saturday, introducing participants to the basics of 3D printing in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Sessions are free to attend, so you’ll be helping make technology accessible to the local community. What You’ll Do: - Guide participants through the basics of 3D printing - Demonstrate how to prepare and print simple models - Offer hands-on support during the session - Help create a friendly, inclusive learning atmosphere

What We’re Looking For: -A friendly and approachable personality -Strong communication skills and patience when helping beginners -Experience with basic CAD software (e.g. Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or similar) -Familiarity with slicer software such as Ultimaker Cura -Confidence explaining concepts in a clear, simple way
