To support young people and adults with learning disabilities to engage in, learn from and enjoy workshop based activities.
• To support young people and adults with learning disabilities to engage in, learn from and enjoy workshop based activities. • To inform the learning and development of services within Greenwich Mencap, and the organisation as a whole. • To undertake training as required of the role within each service supported. • To keep management informed of progress and any change in circumstances for either the individual with a learning disability or the family • To work in accordance with and actively promote the values of Greenwich Mencap, including equal opportunities and diversity. • To actively participate in supervisions with management and team meetings, and bring to attention any potential areas of risk or concern. • To work within the framework of Greenwich Mencap’s policies and procedures, particularly in terms of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. • To support Team members to work safely in the workshop. Specifically ensuring the use of personal protection equipment and guidance when working on a variety of tasks. • To support Team members when attending social outings.

Have some experience in Arts and Crafts, woodwork and classroom activities.

Normally the session is 9:30 to 15:00 . Depends how much time you can give volunteering through a week.
