Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact in your community? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to provide homework support to children of refugee families in Greenwich. Responsibilities: - Assist children with their homework across various subjects - Provide encouragement and support to foster a positive learning environment - Help improve students' confidence and academic skills - Work with children from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique needs and experiences
Befriending, Buddying & Mentoring
Language Skills, Maths, Reading & Writing
-Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help -Strong academic skills, particularly in core subjects like Math, English, and Science -Good communication skills -Ability to commit to regular sessions, either after school or on weekends
-Make a meaningful difference in the lives of refugee children -Gain valuable experience in tutoring and working with children -Be part of a supportive and compassionate community -Receive a reference for future employment or educational opportunities
1 hour a week, excluding commuting time. It can be flexible depending on student/tutor arrangements.
