TwistFizz C.I.C. is seeking enthusiastic Tennis Activators to join our dedicated team of volunteers. Our team regularly conducts weekly family tennis sessions at Eltham Park South, immediately following the Junior Park Run. Our primary goal is to encourage families to stay in the park and enjoy playing tennis together.
TwistFizz C.I.C. is seeking enthusiastic Tennis Activators to join our dedicated team of volunteers. Our team regularly conducts weekly family tennis sessions at Eltham Park South, immediately following the Junior Park Run. Our primary goal is to encourage families to stay in the park and enjoy playing tennis together. Roel Description: - Lead and facilitate engaging and enjoyable tennis sessions that encourage families to return week after week. Sessions take place on Sunday mornings between 9:15 am - 10:30 am - Before each session, set up tennis courts with small tennis nets, balls, and rackets. - Conduct a brief visual risk assessment before the start of each session to identify and address any obvious hazards that could pose a risk to participants. - Complete registers using our booking app, ensuring all participants are accounted for. - Assist walk-in participants by directing them to the online platform for registration. - Ensure all required equipment is in the correct location each week to ensure the smooth running of the sessions. Skills and Qualifications: - Basic understanding of tennis and its rules. - Strong organisational skills in managing session setup and participant registration. - Good communication skills to interact with participants and guide them through registration processes. - Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards encouraging physical activity and community engagement. - A First Aid Qualification and DBS would be ideal but not essential - Must be 18 or over

Support and Development: - Tennis Activators will receive training, guidance and support from our Volunteer Lead before starting the role - Training and personal development opportunities are provided to help you grow in this role. - A great opportunity to meet new people, and enjoy being active outdoors in a local park
Commitment: - Deliver at least 6 x 1.5 hour sessions between April & December
