South Croydon Day Centre for the Elderly
If you're enthusiastic, compassionate about the elderly, have a valid drivers license and willing to use your skills to benefit a worth while charity providing support to older people. Join South Croydon Day Centre and become a Volunteer Driver.
Our centre relies on volunteer drivers to bring in the elderly using the facilities. We open on Mondays and Thursdays. Typically, the drivers will go to the visitors' homes in the morning and bring them in. When the day's activities finishes by 3 pm, the drivers will take them home. Transport is provided to visitors living within a radius of 1.5 miles of the centre.
Driving (must have full driving license)
Customer Service
The interested volunteer will need to have a valid driving licence, pass DBS check, have own car and be good at interpersonal skills and have an interest in the welfare of older people.
It is a tremendous way to show care and concern to the older generation and provide a service to help prevent isolation and improve quality of life for the older people.
