XLP Youth Mentor
XLP
Mentor for local young person
Meeting weekly (or fortnightly in some cases) for 1-2 hours, with a young person aged 11-18 who needs a trusted adult in their life to support them. The programme is targeted towards young people who are at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded from school, at risk of involvement in criminal or antisocial behaviour and/or isolated in some way from their family or community. All our mentors are volunteers who are able to support young people in their communities. We provide 8 hours of training for all our mentors before they are matched with a young person.
