Love Soup Café Tidy & Clean Team assists in the management of the cleanliness of the site for the café activities for 50 - 100 people on a Thursday from 10am at Broadwater Village Hall Goosander Way, West Thamesmead SE28 0ER.
Love Soup Café Tidy & Clean Team assists in the management of the cleanliness of the site for the café activities for 50 - 100 people on a Thursday from 10am at Broadwater Village Hall Goosander Way, West Thamesmead SE28 0ER. Tasks will include: - Accept delegated responsibilities from Chef & Lead Host - Kitchen – washing up guest dishes after use and returning to serving window for next use. - Floor – tidying up any guest dishes not returned to serving window & maintaining cleanliness of tables/chairs used for food consumption. - Support in maintaining tea/coffee service. - Ensure service area, utensils and surfaces are clean. - Check for out of date products and ensure safe storage of ingredients of the tea/coffee service. - Comply with all Health and Safety regulations in the kitchen area. - Work as part of a team with other volunteer staff. - Attend Thursdays from 12:00 -17:30 on a rota or timeshare the role. When unavailable inform volunteer coordinator as soon as possible to arrange cover.

Volunteering at the Love Soup Café gives an excellent opportunity for to showcase your skills, share your passions, and gain invaluable work experience and training possibilities through partners. WTCA offers letters of reference and certificates of recognition for volunteers that have successfully completed at least 6 shifts at the café. Volunteers public transport (bus) expenses will be covered where necessary. Volunteering at the Love Soup Café gives an excellent opportunity to be involved in a community project working as part of an excellent, committed, community-building team.
This role requires a minimum of 3 hours and up to 6 hours a week on Thursdays. The commitment can be from 1-4 times a month in rotation with other volunteers.

Broadwater Village Hall is located behind the Heronsgate Medical Centre on Goosander Way. Heronsgate Primary School is across the street (Goosander Way) Both the 244 and 380 bus have stops at Heronsgate Primary School on Whinchat Road. The bus stops are a 1-2 minute walk from Broadwater Village Hall. Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations are between 12/15 mins distance by both the 244 and 380 bus.
