Become a Hostel Reception Volunteer help make a difference in the day to day running of an incredible charity that helps homeless people in need
We are looking for volunteers who will be able to support residents and staff in our services busy reception areas. The role is flexible however once a timetable is agreed we would like volunteers to be able to maintain their schedule. We suggest at least once a week or once a fortnight for a day or half a day. The Resident Support & Admin Volunteer will: • Support the reception areas in the service, help with enquiries, complaints, information requests, and signposting residents to existing services. • Prompt and help residents pay bills and service charges. • Maintain records on inform • Debrief with staff about the well-being of residents. • Complete inductions and any necessary training • Work with other staff as necessary

This role would suit you if you are: • Flexible and adaptable • A strong communicator • Able to work with individuals with multiple needs • Are interested in, and committed to, making a lasting difference to lives and communities The following skills, experience and qualities would be preferable, but they are not essential: • Experience of working with individuals with multiple needs • Experience of working in housing and or homelessness settings
• Front-line experience within the charity sector • Experience of the homelessness sector • An up to date reference • A full, site-specific induction • Ongoing supervision and support from Project Staff
