Bridging Beyond are an established small charity working on developing programmes which help participants meet each other across difference. We are seeking both experienced volunteers and volunteers with interest in fundraising and the sorts of skills that could help them to become capable fundraisers.
Bridging Beyond is the working name of Newington Green Alliance We're a UK registered charity geared toward building community connections and relationship across all the many ethnic, cultural, class, and other differences in the areas of Hackney and Islington surrounding Newington Green, London and through online events available to people from anywhere in the world. ROLE We are seeking volunteers to carry out grant-writing and other fundraising work to enable Bridging Beyond to strengthen our established work in leading workshops and events which foster empathy and build understanding. We are seeking both experienced volunteers and volunteers with interest in fundraising and the sorts of skills that could help them to become capable fundraisers. Have good facility with IT use including internet searching, email, use of Google Workspace, and a basic understanding of databases Feel comfortable making calls and connecting and working productively with representatives of outside organisational Be able to write fluently and professionally in English Have an ability to write persuasively Be capable at weighing a variety of complex factors in making choices Have excellent organisational skills to keep track of a variety of different types of information Have the ability to devote at least 3 hours per week for at least 6 months to their volunteering work

You will gain experience and skills with grant research, writing, and application - a very useful and valuable skill. You will work with a great team of fundraisers within a community of volunteers.
