parkrun Volunteer
Thames Path parkrun, Woolwich
parkrun volunteers - marshalling, timekeeping, scanning people's barcodes, meeting new people in a welcoming environment, only commit a week at a time.
Thames Path parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k parkrun for all ages and abilities. Every Saturday at 9am by Woolwich Pier. We need about 25 volunteers each week, around half of whom can also run. You can marshal and cheer (you will get lots of thank yous back) and you can also timekeep, and manage the finishers. You only need to commit one week at a time (approx 8.30-10 am) it's a lovely welcoming community, many people head to Woolwich Works for a coffee afterwards, it's good for those that need exercise and for those that want company and to meet people locally.
