Then come an volunteer as a Outreach Supporter and support carers in coffee mornings and other carer meet ups. Roles are flexible and can be based in a location that is convenient for you in a time that works for you.

Detailed Description

Greenwich Carers is a local charity that offers support, advice and activities to unpaid carers living across the borough of Greenwich. The Carers Volunteering Project was launched earlier this year and is looking for carers who are interested in volunteering to become Outreach Supporters. The main role of an Outreach Supporter is to help facilitate carers coffee mornings and meet ups which will be held across the borough to reduce isolation, give carers some time away from their caring responsibilities and provide a comfortable, friendly welcoming place for them to meet other carers as well as a chance to find out about the support available to them from Greenwich Carers. The role involves: • Welcoming carers and make them feel at ease and less isolated. • Helping to facilitate coffee mornings and other social meet carer meet ups.
