East London Waterworks Park
Fundraisers wanted to help East London Waterworks Park build and enact its fundraising strategy
East London Waterworks Park wants to acquire the 5.68-hectare Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, much of which is covered in concrete, and transform it into a ‘brownfield rainforest’ with wild-swimming pools. We are looking for fundraisers to contribute to our community-led working circle who are working on building a fundraising strategy. The circle is thinking about future public-facing campaigns. It is also exploring grant opportunities and developing relationships with corporate bodies. If you can help with desk research into conservation and nature-based grant making and philanthropy, or if you have experience in corporate fundraising, crowdfunding, grant writing, philanthropy and PR, it would be great to hear from you. All levels of experience are welcomed. The Fundraising Circle currently meets monthly on a Wednesday evening on Zoom and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.
