Volunteers at Woolwich Works will play a central part in helping us create an inviting and friendly atmosphere for everyone who visits our venue. You’ll support our Operations team in welcoming and helping people find their way around the building, always being open and friendly. As a volunteer, you will ensure that tickets are checked and valid, and help visitors to their seats. You will be guided by the Duty Manager, who will show you the ropes.
Woolwich Works, a multi-disciplinary Arts Centre that opened on the Arsenal in 2021, is looking for Front of House volunteers. As a volunteer, you will welcome our visitors to site and help them find their way around. A more detailed list of responsibilities can be found here: - To welcome visitors with a friendly manner, supporting and guiding them around the venue and ensuring they feel comfortable. - To engage with visitors about the venue and different programming it has on offer. - To take feedback from our visitors and share this with the Duty Manager, to help us achieve only the highest standards. - To be in attendance for event briefings and debriefs, as this is where essential information for the event is communicated. - To participate in fire evacuations and other general emergency procedures; also to carry out safety checks. To generally ensure that visitors are safe throughout their visit/performance. - To ensure all tickets are checked and valid. - To report any behaviour that is not permitted on-site to the Duty Manager: examples can include unsolicited photography.

We require you to work a minimum of 1 shift per month, but would encourage you to work much more. We have an abundance of activity at different times throughout the week.
