East London Waterworks Park
East London Waterworks Park is looking for architects and urban designers to help create new wild swimming park
East London Waterworks Park wants to acquire the 5.68-hectare Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, much of which is covered in concrete, and transform it into a ‘brownfield rainforest’ with wild-swimming pools. We are looking for architects and urban designers to contribute to our community-led working circle who are working on water strategy, energy strategy, circular strategy for the biological and concrete substructures. All levels of experience are welcomed. The Design Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Monday evening and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.
