Detailed Description

Responsible to: Janet (The Chair) and the Management Committee Main Purpose: To oversee the financial administration of the organization and report to the committee on its financial health. Key Duties: 1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining an accurate record of all income (donations, grants, sponsorships) and expenditure 2. Banking: Handling the organization’s bank account, paying in checks, and issuing reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses 3. Budgeting: Helping you prepare the annual budget 4. Reporting: Providing a brief financial report at each meeting so the team knows exactly how much money is available for the next trip or grant. 5. Fundraising Support: Working with the team to ensure that money raised from corporate sponsors/Go Fund Me is allocated to the correct "Pathway" (e.g., ensuring a grant for "education materials" is spent only on that).
