eritage & Archaeology Rangers are part of the Heritage & Archaeology Ranger Team (HART), a national network of volunteers supporting the work of the NT. The core function of HART is to locate and assess the condition of archaeological features. However, HART volunteers will have the opportunity to engage in other archaeology activities/tasks where the opportunity arises. In this role you will act as a HART volunteer based at Morden Hall Park. The objective is focused on providing up to date information on the condition of archaeological features, helping to ensure that the archaeological resource is managed in an appropriate manner. It is recommended to attend this day as it will give the necessary training for the role. However, if you are not able to attend please do get in touch.

This role will suit you if: • Enjoy getting outdoors in all weather conditions; • Work well as part of a team; • Want to learn more about the Historic Environment and Archaeology; • Are prepared to use maps and simple recording forms.
• Meeting other people with the same interest. • Finding out about different types of archaeological features. • Finding out how to locate archaeological features in the landscape. • Identifying the things that may be damaging archaeology. • Basic map reading (training will be provided). • Completing monitoring forms. • Ensuring survey data is uploaded through Heritage Records Online. • Taking basic photographs.

Morden Hall Park is a 5 minute walk from the Northern Line Tube station. There is a tram stop - Phipps Bridge on the edge of the park. It is also served by many bus routes
