Sutton's First Literary Festival A Place at My Table is hosting Sutton's first-ever literary festival on 12 & 13 October 2024, and we need your help to make it a resounding success! We have a variety of exciting volunteer roles available, perfect for anyone passionate about books and the arts. Unleash your creativity: • Event/Set Designers: Transform venues with stunning set designs, crafting immersive experiences for festival goers. (Experience in design fields preferred). • Author Liaison Stewards: play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and attention to our esteemed authors throughout the Sutton Literary Festival. We take immense pride in offering authors an elevated level of hospitality, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment during their festival experience. This role involves a range of responsibilities, from assisting authors at their point of arrival to catering to their needs during the festival. • Arts Copywriters: Captivate audiences with your words! Craft compelling content for festival materials, social media, and more. (Strong writing skills are a must). • Photographers: Capture the energy and spirit of the festival through your lens. (Experience with digital photography and editing is a plus). • Filmers/Videographers: Bring the festival to life with your videography skills! Create engaging content to share on social media and document the event. (Proficiency in cinematography and video editing is essential). • Social Media and Communications: Be our voice online! Share festival news, engage with audiences, and build excitement on social media platforms. • Finance Volunteer: Become our Festival Finance Whiz! a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the festival: Assist in managing the festival's budget, Preparation of financial reports, Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Either in or out of office hours. Estimate of time needed: 15-90 hours, 7-8 hours a week leading up to the festival. Must be able to attend Festival Briefings in August
