Richard House Children's Hospice

Our gardens are one of the focal points of Richard House and an area which our children and families can really enjoy spending time in. We are looking for volunteer Gardeners to help maintain the gardens and outside areas.

Our gardens are one of the focal points of Richard House and an area which our children and families can really enjoy spending time in. We are looking for volunteer Gardeners to help maintain the gardens and outside areas. You will be involved in: Tidying the grounds Planting new flowers Cutting back, weeding and clearing Keeping the garden paths accessible What skills do we need? We are looking for people who are reliable, able to organise and prioritise their own workload and maintain a safe working environment. Gardening knowledge is useful, but not essential if you are confident to maintain an area of the gardens. Naturally the work is physical and takes place outside so you need to be comfortable with this. As our Gardeners work around the hospice grounds you will also be friendly and able to communicate with our families and team. How much time will it take? This is a flexible opportunity – we just ask for a regular commitment. What are the benefits?
