Supporting people with and affected by MND in their own homes

Detailed Description

We are looking for volunteers to join us in making a real difference to the lives of local people that are affected by MND. If you feel you have the time and skills and want to help your local community, please do get in touch. As a volunteer, you will be matched to service users across London (Borough to suit you) and visit people in their own homes. Supporting them to access MND Services and Support and be a friendly face to spend time with.

Advice, Information & Support,Befriending, Buddying & Mentoring,Caring,Community Work,Support Work

What skills are required for this role

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Language Skills

Why these skills are required

For this role you need to be able to work as part of a team, liaise with health and social care professionals, and have the ability to develop and maintain supportive relationships. You will also need to be non-judgmental and have a respectful attitude.
