Communication Skills, Working part of Team
Being able to communicate with patients and staff and working well as part of a team.
Although we have visitors and staff using the shop we try to remember that patients are here for a reason so giving a friendly smile and word to patients can help to keep them calm. A sense of being useful and helping someone, making a difference.
Normally three to four hours a shift and most volunteers do one shift a week. All we ask is that you are reliable, friendly and smile.
