Volunteer Centre Greenwich
To oversee the work of Volunteer Centre Greenwich with responsibility for complying with legislation and good practice with regard to roles and responsibilities of a Trustee as laid out in Charity Commission guidance, with particular regard to finance, employment and health and safety.
To oversee the work of Volunteer Centre Greenwich with responsibility for complying with legislation and provide and good governance. Activities to be undertaken in compliance with the organisation’s Articles of Association, Charity Commission regulations, VCG’s Trustee Code of Conduct. We are looking for trustees with particular skills in finance, employment and health and safety. Currently we would welcome applications from people with a financial background.

Good background knowledge of either the voluntary/public/statutory or business sector. Particular skills i.e. employment, finance, health and safety, Communication. An interest in volunteering activities within Royal Borough of Greenwich specifically, but volunteering in general. Commitment to role as a Trustee. Full induction will be provided for new Trustees on the organisation and the work of the Board. Training in specific topics is available subject to funding. Trustees are entitled to claim any travel costs to meetings.
To be a part of providing the strategic direction of Volunteer Centre Greenwich.
To attend four Board meetings per year and the Annual General Meeting. In addition to attend a quarterly sub group between Board meetings. Board meetings usually up to take 2 hours – sub group meetings take 1.5 hours. To attend any additional meetings or events as required.
