Trustee for FIA, Merton's Homelessness Project
Merton Faith in Action Homeless Project
Our Trustees attend monthly meetings but are also involved in setting our strategic direction of the charity and being involved in areas of our work - fundraising, communications, governance, supporting out staff managment.
Faith in Action Homelessness Project is seeking two trustees to join our committed team. Being a Trustee at FIA means more than attending meetings — it’s a hands-on, strategic role that helps shape the future of our charity. Trustees are collectively responsible for: • Setting the strategic direction of the charity • Ensuring transparency and accountability • Taking specific areas of responsibility as “working Trustees” We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who can lead in one of the following areas: 1. Fundraising – especially developing partnerships with local businesses 2. Communications – including updating the website, managing social media, and community engagement 3. Governance – supporting the development of policies, procedures, and handbooks (no prior homelessness experience required!) 4. HR experience and expertise

Joining a committed and passionate team of trustees and developing skills in working as part of a committee 3. Being part of the wider volunteer team of exceptional, committed people. 4. Attending social events, fundraising events etc
This is flexible. One board meeting a month (usually virtual) but most trustees also take specific areas of responsiblity which can involve more time commitment while others volunteer in the Drop in or Winter Night Shelter to gain knowledge of the people that FiAMHP are working with
