Community Volunteer Fundraiser

Bridge the gap ending digital poverty C.I.C

Could you help us raise the profile of our work and the funds needed to run services and opportunities? If so, then you're the person we need! You can support our team in a community Fundraising role. Fundraising could be both virtually and in person, from collecting donations to arranging and participating in events.

Detailed Description

Bridge the Gap Ending digital poverty C.I.C is a Community interest organisation based in Hackney, with aims to support families and the wider community. We aim to bridge the gap by empowering our community through supporting them with technology equipment, digital skills and Data Sim cards. We aim to enable a network of parents to create change within their own local community, in turn inspiring other parents and families to be the change they want to see. We want to give families and the community the ability to change their own futures through empowering them with education, internet connectivity and technology We would love for you to join our warm and friendly team and play a part in creating our future. About the role: You will be providing support for Bridge the Gap Ending digital poverty C.I.C to ensure that we are able to help the families and individuals who are struggling as a result of the economic impact of the Covid-19 virus, and who may be facing a variety of situations including legal, financial, psychological and discriminatory abuse and neglect. You will be working with the Directors to help raise funds to help us alleviate the digital poverty, mental health stigma and other problems experienced by Bridge the Gap Ending digital poverty C.I.C participants. This is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved in the vital planning tasks which helps to keep our team going. This role can be undertaken from home providing you have access to a suitable pc or laptop, or in our base (subject to availability) What you will be doing Supporting with thanking our amazing donors, and other vital admin tasks associated to this role Researching potential new partnerships and contacting local business and organisations Helping with the organisation and promotion of a variety of projects Contacting volunteers and supporters Commitment Our roles are flexible. However we do require a minimum of 4-6 hours per week for at least one year. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on the number and type of fundraising activities arranged, but there are no set requirements. We meet every month for about 1 hour and a half to discuss updates and plans for next steps, plus you will need time to plan and attend a series of fundraising activities and events throughout the year if required. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a growing Company and develop your existing skills and learn new ones.
