Help staff with the running or set up of Age UK Sutton's groups and activities and provide encouragement and a warm welcome to participants e.g. our new Walking Tennis Group! ABOUT THE ROLE: - Provide encouragement and a warm welcome to our clients. - Help staff with the running or set up of our groups and activities. - Support our clients to engage with an activity, or to share their thoughts and experiences in our peer support groups. - Complete and submit a feedback form after sessions and pass on any questions or concerns. - Participate in supervisions as well as learning and development. - Minimum commitment: From 1 hour per week, depending on activity. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? - Enjoy meeting new people. - Friendly and approachable. - Able to offer patience and empathy without judgement. - Can complete some light admin tasks such as feedback forms. - Have good communication and listening skills. - Can offer reliability and commitment to the values and policies of Age UK Sutton, including holding appropriate boundaries, and understanding confidentiality and safeguarding (training provided).
