Our van drivers drive our hospice van, collecting and delivering small items of furniture and other items donated to the hospice shops.
Richard House Children’s Hospice has six busy charity shops across Barking, Dagenham, Hornchurch and Upminster. Our shops rely heavily on the distribution of goods. Our van drivers drive our hospice van, collecting and delivering small items of furniture and other items donated to the hospice shops. During a shift you will drive the hospice van between our shops, to companies, and to customers’ and donors’ homes throughout East London and parts of Essex.
Driving (must have full driving license)
UK Driving Licence
For insurance purposes drivers need a minimum of 24 months’ driving experience with a full clean licence to drive up to a 3.5 tonne box van. They also need to be physically capable of lifting and moving items of furniture. Drivers work with a Distribution Assistant so team work is essential and we are looking for people who are friendly, reliable and hardworking.
This is an opportunity to be part of a team as well as getting out and about in the local community and contributing to the work of Richard House.
