Support Avanti Mental Wellbeing CIC with social media! Create and schedule posts, respond to comments, and promote our groups and events. Based at Vestry Hall, 4 hours a week. Ideal for someone creative, organised, and confident using social media. Help us reach and engage our community to promote mental health and wellbeing.
Role Title: Social Media Volunteer Location: Vestry Hall, 336-338 London Road, Mitcham Time Commitment: 4 hours per week Role Description: Avanti Mental Wellbeing CIC is looking for a passionate and reliable Social Media Volunteer to support our online presence. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating content, engaging with online communities, and helping to promote mental wellbeing through creative and inclusive community activities. Key Responsibilities: Create and schedule engaging social media posts across our platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, etc.) Respond to comments, messages, and engage with followers in a warm and professional manner Promote our weekly groups, special events, and community projects Share relevant updates, news, and mental health resources Take occasional photos or short videos (with permission) to highlight our work Support with growing our followers and reach by using hashtags, tagging, and collaborations Help keep our online presence consistent with Avanti’s values and voice What You’ll Gain: Experience in managing social media for a grassroots community organisation A chance to contribute to a cause that supports mental wellbeing and inclusion Training and support from the Avanti team References available upon successful volunteering period Ideal Skills and Qualities: Confident using social media platforms Creative, with a good eye for visuals and tone Good written communication skills Reliable, organised, and responsive A positive, respectful attitude and interest in mental health or community work If you're interested in making a difference through digital engagement, we’d love to hear from you!
