Club Night Volunteer

The Squad

Can you spare two hours a week to help those with learning disabilities? Join The Squad! We run two Thursday evening clubs in Wimbledon: one for ages 14-25 and another for 25+. Our members enjoy activities like cooking, cricket, zoo visits, and weekend trips. Join our team of volunteers, gain valuable skills, meet new people, and make a positive impact in the community. No experience needed!

Detailed Description

Can you spare two hours a week to have some fun and make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities? If yes, then The Squad is the place for you! We hold two Thursday evening clubs in Wimbledon, one for ages 14-25 and another for 25+, where our friendly members get the chance to build relationships, learn new skills, and grow their confidence. No two evenings are the same, with activities ranging from cooking curries and playing cricket, to visiting the zoo and going to the circus. We even enjoy occasional day trips and residential weekends! You’ll be part of an established team of volunteers and supported by our highly motivated club leaders. Whether you’d like to build skills for your CV, meet new people, or give something back to your community, The Squad will provide a hugely rewarding experience. Time Commitment

4 - 8 hours per month (the club runs 2 hours every Thursday, term time)

We are based in central Wimbledon, about a 3-minute walk from the train/tube stop, and run every Thursday in term time from 7-9 pm
