Volunteer Gardener
Richmond AID
Would you like to enjoy the great outdoors while gardening for some of the elderly or disabled in the community?
Richmond SPADE is our award-winning gardening service which provides basic gardening maintenance to disabled and older people in the borough. A team of talented volunteer gardeners carry out tasks who are dedicated to conserving the local environment and to enabling disabled people to get the most out of their garden. Volunteers carry out tasks such as weeding, mowing the lawn, pruning and raking leaves. We welcome experienced gardeners and first timers. There is always lots to do and lots of fun! Our volunteers work in teams on Monday or Tuesday, Morning or Afternoon, and Wednesday afternoon. Each session is 2 and a half hours. Most members take part in one session per week, although a few do the full day. The teams are a nice mixture of experienced and new gardeners. We are a small and friendly charity, with a long history. Spade has been operating in the Richmond Borough for around 15 years. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any more questions
