Explorer Scouts Team Member

Richmond upon Thames Scouts

Would you like the chance to go camping, climbing, potholing, lead community projects while transforming young people’s lives? By volunteering with one of our youth sections, you will do all of this and more, using your skills and learning new ones. What we can guarantee is that no two weeks are the same!

Detailed Description

Can you make it possible for young people aged 14 to 18 years old to experience life changing adventure? Could you support them in making decisions, taking the lead and developing independence, confidence and skills? Working as part of a team of adult volunteers, scout leaders assist in the planning and delivery of an exciting programme of outdoor activities, community projects, games, challenges, learning about global issues, camps and even sometimes international trips! This is a fun and rewarding role and is ideal for people that enjoy working with young people. Overtime you will see members grow in confidence and ability as they learn from the programme you help run.

Why these skills are required

All you need is bags of enthusiasm and to enjoy developing young people age 14 to 18. Our training scheme will allow you to learn all the skills necessary to undertake the role.
