Mentoring Programme Intern (Voluntary/Female)

Support mentoring, academic workshops and programme administration for young people. Women 18+.

Detailed Description

Support the Mentoring Coordinator in delivering a high-quality programme for around 100 mentoring pairs, focused on academic support, GCSE preparation and character development. Help plan workshops, organise mentoring toolkits and resources, maintain attendance and data records, gather feedback, provide admin support and create materials. Requires interpersonal, computer, organisational and time-management skills, reliability and teamwork. 2–4 days/week, Mon–Thu, 10:30am–6:15pm, 4–6 months. Travel up to £7 and lunch £5 per full day. Female applicants only; 18+.

Why these skills are required

- Good interpersonal skills, able to work well within a diverse team. - Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. - Good time management and organisational skills. - Reliable, punctual, and committed. - Interest in mentoring, education, youth development, or community engagement. - Experience working with young people, education, or volunteering is desirable. - Work directly with clients across Baytree services (e.g. youth clubs, workshops, reception, and befriending activities).
