Youth Life Skills Volunteer (Female)

Support girls to build life skills, resilience and confidence through weekly workshops. Women 18+.

Detailed Description

Support the Life Skills and Employability Programme Lead at the Baytree Centre by co-facilitating weekly workshops for girls in school years 7–10+, helping develop essential life skills and Baytree’s 5 Character Development traits: Resilience, Self-Control, Fairness, Purpose and Good Judgement. Encourage participation, build positive relationships, support trips and session planning, and follow safeguarding policies. Requires good interpersonal skills, positivity, reliability, teamwork and safeguarding awareness. 1 afternoon/week plus planning every other week; minimum 2 terms. Female applica

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships. - Positive, friendly, and proactive approach. - Reliable, punctual, and committed. - Ability to work as part of a diverse team. - Understanding of safeguarding and child protection. - Experience working with young people (desirable). - Experience planning or delivering workshops (desirable). - Knowledge of a second language (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) is an advantage.

Time Commitment

- One afternoon per week (Monday to Thursday), for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Specific times will be assigned according to the termly programme timetable. - One morning (or afternoon) every other week (Monday to Thursday), at a pre-agreed time for session planning via Teams with the Programme Manager. - Minimum commitment of two terms (approximately 6 months).
