Support newly arrived migrant girls aged 11–19 with ESOL, Maths and academic progress. Women 18+.
Support academic sessions for newly arrived migrant girls aged 11–19 at the Baytree Centre. Assist teachers with ESOL and Maths lessons and provide one-to-one support, helping students overcome learning challenges, build confidence, progress academically and integrate into formal education. Requires strong academic background, ideally GCSE or degree-level Maths and/or English, plus communication, patience, empathy, enthusiasm and teamwork. 1 session/week for at least 2 terms. Female applicants only (Equality Act 2010: Schedule 9); 18+.

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Evaluating & Reviewing, Managing People, Maths, Organising & Planning, Reading & Writing
- Strong academic background, ideally with GCSE or degree-level education in Maths and/or English, enabling competent academic support. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and language levels. - Patience and empathy to support students with varying learning paces and needs. - Enthusiasm for creating a supportive and engaging learning experience. - Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other volunteers. - Adhere to Baytree Centre policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Gain experience supporting academic learning for students from diverse backgrounds. - Develop skills in ESOL support, Maths tutoring, and inclusive education. - Contribute directly to the educational progress and integration of newly arrived young people. - Be part of a supportive and welcoming volunteer community.
