Friendly volunteers needed to help local elderly residents do their shopping.
Friendly volunteers are needed to add to our shopping teams to offer weekly or ad hoc shopping. This could be doing their online shopping order for them or doing their weekly shop. Occasionally you could be accompanying a client to shop. This is very flexible and can fit around a work schedule or other commitments, weekends suit many residents who do not have family members visiting. If you have lots of patience, some clients are in need of help with setting up smart phones and tablets to facilitate on line shopping.

Must like old people, be patient, and willing to be flexible. Patience needed if offering IT support!
Volunteers get as much if not more from volunteering than the clients, giving up some time when running a busy life or in a demanding job, to help to an older resident is very rewarding. Our volunteers state they get a sense of wellbeing from giving back to their community.
