Help us maintain our beautiful garden and allotment at a busy city farm.

Detailed Description

We're looking for volunteers enthusiastic about horticulture to help us maintain our garden, green spaces, and allotment. Duties include: - Weeding, watering & general upkeep of the garden space and green areas around the farm. - Planting and maintaining plant bedding schemes. - Monitoring seeds and caring for young plants/produce. - More experienced volunteers could get involved with planning and landscaping. - Cleaning tools after use and keeping garden paddock area tidy. - Collection of green waste and taking to the farm’s composting areas. - Pruning and deadheading.

Why these skills are required

Horticultural experience desirable but not essential. Good degree of fitness and happy to work outside. Have an interest in horticulture.

You'd have the opportunity to learn more about gardening and working in a public garden. Gardening is also great for mental and physical health.

Time Commitment

We recommend doing half a day a week for at least 3 months, but this is flexible.
