Join Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC and help us build connections and raise awareness of our work. Support community events, information stands, fundraising, PR and networking, and help identify new events and local opportunities. You may speak with families, professionals and community organisations and, where trained, support simple first aid activities. A full UK driving licence, suitable vehicle and appropriate motor insurance are required, as you may occasionally collect equipment from Bexleyheath. Agreed expenses are reimbursed.

Why these skills are required

Previous experience of community engagement, events, networking, marketing, SEND or similar work is welcome but not essential. We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, reliable and confident communicating with different people. You should be comfortable representing Sirens & Sparkles in a positive and professional way. Good organisation, basic IT, reading and writing skills are needed. You should also be able to carry out simple online research to find suitable events, networking opportunities, schools, community groups and other organisations we could connect with. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are required. You must have appropriate motor insurance covering the volunteering activity, as you may occasionally be asked to collect and return event equipment from Bexleyheath. This will always be arranged in advance. Knowledge or experience of SEND is welcome but not essential. Full induction, training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided.

Time Commitment

This is a flexible volunteering role with no fixed weekly commitment. Community events, SEND events, school fairs and fêtes, information days and networking opportunities take place on different days and at different times. Volunteers can choose opportunities that suit their availability and may also research and identify suitable events and networking opportunities for Sirens & Sparkles to attend. Once an opportunity has been agreed, volunteers may help arrange or book attendance on behalf of Sirens & Sparkles within the responsibilities agreed for their role. Event dates, locations and any equipment collection or return arrangements will be agreed in advance. There is no requirement to be available for every day or time shown on this listing.
