Pet Therapy Volunteers needed. Support NHS patients with your pet in mental health and rehab service
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is seeking volunteers and their pets to support our Pets At Therapy Service across mental health and rehabilitation services in Harrow, Hillingdon, Chelsea & Westminster, and Park Royal (Acton). If you can commit to at least one hour per week, we'd love to hear from you. Your pet may already be registered with Pets As Therapy or a similar recognised organisation, or you can complete the registration process before volunteering. Pets at Therapy requires volunteers that can spare 1 hour a week at a regular time and day. Pet's need to be well behaved, good with people and fully vaccinated. Dogs will need to be certified. The NHS will help with obtaining the certificate. Cats and Rabbits also welcome.
As an NHS volunteer there are many benefits for your own personal development. As well as being invited to events, access to some training programs and the opportunity to register for a blue lite card. You and your pet will also be making a genuine difference to people's experience of care. Volunteering is definitely a rewarding experience.
