Be Active is a programme where volunteers are matched one-to-one with a 60+ adult to support their rehabilitation exercises at home and in the community for up to 9 sessions. Managing People
You will be supporting people to do walking support or their exercises in doors so empathy, patience and motivating skills. Enjoying helping and chatting with others. Its one to one support to motivate someone to keep up with their physio exercises.
You get very useful training. Many of our volunteers are looking for a career change or medical students needed on the ground experience. We also have volunteers who are retired who wanted to support others and have interesting conversations whilst out having a stroll. We have others who work part-time and have an interest and want to get involved.
