We are looking for someone with senior-level fundraising experience gained in the charity or voluntary sector and the ability to think strategically about income generation. You will have knowledge of one or more fundraising disciplines, such as trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community or events fundraising, and be able to provide guidance on developing a diverse and sustainable fundraising strategy. You should be a collaborative and proactive individual with good communication and relationship-building skills, and an understanding of charity governance or a willingness to develop this through the trustee role. Previous trustee experience is not essential. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of parenting or perinatal mental health challenges, although this is not a requirement.
As a Fundraising Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the future of an award-winning maternal mental health charity and ensuring more parents and families can access specialist support. You will gain valuable board-level experience, contribute to the strategic direction of a growing organisation, and work alongside a skilled and supportive team of trustees and staff. This is an opportunity to use your fundraising expertise to create lasting social impact while developing your governance, leadership and strategic decision-making experience.
Board and subgroup meetings take place online, but trustees need to be available for one in-person board awayday per year, which is usually held in London. You need to be available for online 2-hour board meetings (held in the evening) and 1.5-hour board subgroup meetings (daytimes) once a quarter, and willing to contribute in between. We also hold an annual in-person board awayday.
