Support admin for elderly community activities (Lunch Club, choir, events). No experience needed.
We are seeking a volunteer to support our elderly engagement team with administrative tasks. We run community activities including a weekly Lunch Club for over 50s, bi-monthly dinners, dance classes, and an over 50s choir. We are seeking a reliable, organised volunteer to support our elderly engagement team with admin tasks. Duties include maintaining records, supporting communication, scheduling, and preparing materials for sessions. This role suits someone detail-oriented and proactive. No experience required. 5 hours/week in-person. Start July or September. Flexible duration.

The role involves helping coordinate and maintain records of activities for older adults, supporting communication with participants and volunteers, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring information is kept up to date. You may also help prepare materials for sessions and support general day-to-day admin linked to our elderly wellbeing activities. This role is well-suited to someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with basic admin tasks, and interested in supporting community work that reduces loneliness and promotes social connection among older adults. No previous experience in social care is required -just a proactive attitude and good communication skills!
Experience working within a grassroots charity Understanding through practical work the everyday running of a charity Insight into supporting older people and tackling social isolation Practical experience in administration, communications, and project delivery Opportunities to develop skills in social media, community engagement, and event support Experience working alongside experienced practitioners, and community professionals Networking with professionals, students, and volunteers who share an interest in wellbeing, education, therapy, and the arts. Opportunities to volunteer at additional music therapy and drama sessions across our programmes. Receiving DBS support and safeguarding experience relevant to future volunteering and employment opportunities.
We request the volunteer committs to 5 hours on Tuedays. The volunteer will join us at the office!
