Are you upbeat, friendly and love a boogie? In-Deep are looking for volunteers to support our music therapy sessions for children with SEND. The children who join our classes are anywhere from 3-25 years and will always be attending the sessions with their family. The classes are led by a qualified music therapists and drama practitioners to encourage communication, confidence and creativity for our beneficiaries. You will need to be DBS checked (we can help you sign up for this) and have a keen attitude Previous experience is not required, someone who is happy to jump in a have a good time

Managing People
To volunteer an enhanced DBS check is required due to working with children, but if you don't have one we can support you to obtain it! Just email us at childrenandfamilies@in-deep.org.uk No formal experience is required. Volunteers should have a friendly, positive attitude and enjoy working in a creative, supportive environment. A willingness to engage with children and young people, take part in group activities, and support music-making or movement-based sessions is important. Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow guidance from qualified practitioners are essential. Volunteers should be comfortable working as part of a team and adapting to the needs of the session. An interest in music, creativity, or working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is beneficial.
• Developping skills in communication, teamwork, inclusion, and supporting children and young people with additional needs. • Gaining practical experience in music therapy, drama, education, SEND, autism, and community-based support services. • Learning from experienced HCPC-registered music therapists and creative practitioners. • Receiving DBS support and safeguarding experience relevant to future volunteering and employment opportunities. • Building confidence in working with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds. • Networking with professionals, students, and volunteers who share an interest in wellbeing, education, therapy, and the arts. • Opportunities to volunteer at additional music therapy and drama sessions across our programmes.
PIMLICO - SATURDAY MORNING/AFTERNOON Pimlico session happens every 2nd Saturday of each month What happens in the session? Throughout the sessions we run separate groups for different participants. In Pimlico, we run groups for 3-10 year olds, 9-13 year o1ds, 14-22 year olds and 19-30 year olds --- Time: morning/afternoon 11.30-14.30 OVAL - THURSDAY EVENING Oval session happens every 3rd Thursday of each month What happens in the session? Throughout the sessions we run separate groups for different participants. In Oval, we run groups for3-10 year olds, 11-18 year olds, and 19-30 --- Time: evening 18.00-19.30
