Assist clients to complete forms.
● complete an introduction to Citizens Advice and training for your role ● assist clients to complete welfare benefit paper and online forms with clients applying for health benefits, for example to apply for Personal Independence, or to renew/challenge a benefit decisions Assist with council forms. ● manage allocated appointments for clients at specific times and dates ● conduct appointments either face-to-face in office settings, over the telephone via office lines, or remotely through home working (hybrid option). ● write a summary of the clients’ situation and what action you’ve taken

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Good IT Skills, Reading & Writing
You don’t need specifi c qualifi cations or skills but you’ll need to: ● be friendly and approachable ● be non-judgmental and respect views, values and cultures that are diff erent to your own ● have good listening skills ● have excellent verbal and written communication skills ● have good maths and IT skills ● be able to understand information and summarise it ● be willing to learn about and follow the Citizens Advice aims, principles and policies, including confidentiality and data protection ● be willing to undertake training in your role
● make a real diff erence to people’s lives ● gain in-depth knowledge about health benefi t application processes ● build on valuable skills such as communication, questioning and listening, interpreting information and summarising ● increase your employability ● work with a range of different people, independently and in a team. ● have a positive impact in your community
Preferably 2 days a week over a year but happy to discuss. Minimum 1 day.
