Exploring a client's issues, helping them find solutions too their problems
We provide, free, confidential and impartial advice and information to local residents. Your role will include exploring a client's issue over the phone or in person. Helping them find the information they need, book an appointment with an adviser or signpost to another agency. You will need to write up your case notes on our case management system. Issues are often around benefits, debt, employment, immigration and housing. Full training is given and you are supported throughout.

You don’t need specific qualifications but you’ll need to: ● be friendly and approachable ● be non-judgmental and respect views, values and cultures that are different to your own ● have good listening skills ● have excellent verbal and written communication skills ● have good IT skills ● be able to understand information ● be willing to learn about and follow the Citizens Advice aims, principles and policies, including confidentiality and data protection ● be willing to undertake training in your role
