Support our foodbank through packing food parcels and organising donations ready for distribution.
Storeroom Volunteers support the smooth running of our Food Bank by organising stock and packing food parcels, helping provide vital food aid to the local community. This hands-on role suits those who can work independently or in small teams. Your key responsibilities will include preparing parcels in line with guidelines, sorting and storing donations, and maintaining a clean, tidy workspace. Whilst no prior experience is required for this role, we need volunteers who are willing to pay attention to detail, are capable of following set guidelines and are able to lift heavy bags and crates.

We are looking for volunteers with strong attention to detail who can follow guidelines when packing food parcels, take direction from staff, adhere to health, safety and food hygiene standards, and are able to lift heavy bags and crates. Sufra offers a full induction and training, reimbursement for bus travel, a reference after three months of volunteering, and quarterly volunteer socials.
Ideally, you will be able to commit to one 3 hour shift atleast every other week.
