Assist patients who need help and support with entering & exiting the ambulance using different aids
To escort Daycare patients between the Hospice & their home, travelling on the hospice minibus, in the company of a MIDAS trained driver. Most journeys will be to bring patients into Daycare, but on occasions volunteer escorts will be asked to accompany patients into the hospice for an out patient appointment. · Assist in getting patients into the ambulance · Ensure seatbelts are worn at all times (unless the patient has a seat belt exemption from their GP). · Assist the patient into their home if they are on wheelchairs/walking aides. · Both driver & escort will be responsible for patient
