Volunteer Parade Marshalls - 30th August

Merton Plus

Parade Marshalls will support with guiding those marching along our route through Morden Hall Park and through to Merton Abbey Mills.

Detailed Description

Support the smooth operation of the parade by guiding participants along the route and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Help manage crowds, direct foot traffic, and assist with any unexpected issues. Be a friendly, visible point of contact for participants and spectators. Event is 30th August.

Why these skills are required

Parade marshals need to be a friendly face to help direct individuals along the route. You may need to hold people if the route becomes congested or ask people to wait if crossing the tram line / road.

What is in it for you

This is a chance to be part of Merton's first ever pride! This event is being organised by Merton's LGBTQ+ organisation Merton Plus and supported by Merton Council and other partners. This is a chance to contribute to this inaugural event and celebrate Merton's LGBTQ+ community.

Time Commitment

Ideally volunteers would provide 2 hours of time to marshal / support the event. We have a rota we are working on.
