Do you want to help digitise the Museum’s paper-based collections information?
As a Collections Information Digitisation Volunteer you will be tasked with scanning various correspondence files and ensuring accurate records for the image files. You will review existing digital documentation and records in order to make them more accessible for the team that work at the museum. You will develop an understanding for information security as well as museum practices and procedures when working with artefacts that need to be digitised. You will help in making records more accessible for a wider audience and ensure that they are preserved for a longer period of time.

This role is perfect for you if you… Possess good IT Skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Can operate a scanner Have the ability to work methodically, with good accuracy and attention to detail Have the ability to work independently Have an interest in history and/or heritage Have an interest in records management

How much time would I need to commit? One full day or half day, ideally once a week, between 10.00 and 16.00 at the RAF Museum London.
